In our open community meeting on Saturday, October 22, we discussed the importance of communicating the concerns of Long Beach residents to our local government officials regarding development practices on our shoreline in the face of rising lake levels, etc. In response to our discussion, the LBCA has drafted two sample letters that we ask you to send to our local government officials (as attached):

Letter to the Long Beach Town Council regarding adoption of ordinances modeled after the Indiana Department of Natural Resources' "Coastal Hazards Planning Guidance for Indiana Coastal Communities".

Letter to the Long Beach Building Commission regarding enhanced transparency with respect to our local building permit process.
